Interviewing at Surefire Event Staffing

Working in the hospitality and event industry can be fun and rewarding. It is also hard work.


A bartender or banquet server will be expected to unload catering trucks, set up bars and tables with all the place settings, provide excellent customer service during the event and then break down the event at the end of the night.


The demands of the job are clear. Once on site for an event, it is go, go, go. The best people for the job are hardworking, experienced and come with a positive, can-do attitude. Attitude goes a long way. The people that have the best attitudes are the ones that are consistently requested.


Surefire Event Staffing is a company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas that specializes in the hospitality and event industry. We work with caterers, hotels, social clubs and universities.


We are always looking for the best banquet servers, bartenders, cooks and dish washers. The one thing that we look for consistently is a positive attitude. Interviews are held each day in our offices at 10:00am and 2:00pm (Monday-Friday).



Here are a few things that you should be prepared to have and discuss in your interview:

  1. Bring two forms of ID (Preferably a Valid Driver’s License and Social Security card)

  2. Bring a valid Food Handler’s Certification and TABC Certification

  3. Bring 3 work references

  4. Be prepared to talk about your last 3 employers

  5. Dress professionally
